His three dimensional mixed-media paintings feature primary colors and incorporate themes from his travels and life experiences. Morris said his role as an artist was to show the world the way that he experienced and felt it, not to simply paint a pretty picture. His list of teaching appointments include Fleisher Art Memorial, University of the Arts, the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, and the University of Pennsylvania.
