A Selection of Paintings for the Spring Season Gratz Gallery & Conservation Studio is pleased to announce,
New Beginnings: A Selection of Paintings for the Spring Season an exhibition of Pennsylvania Impressionism beginning May 3rd, 2014.
The Gallery has been busy acquiring a fine selection of paintings over the long winter hibernation. The majority of these pieces come directly from private collections and have never before been offered on the retail market. New Beginnings features paintings by many of the most admired Pennsylvania Impressionists, as well as artists from the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts.The collection features a large and spectacular Walter Schofield with an extensive exhibition history. Included are two beautiful paintings by Pennsylvania Impressionist, George Sotter. One of Sotter's pieces depicts a warm seascape, while the other captures the Pennsylvania countryside. There are also some stunning examplesof Walter Baum's work, including some lovely snow-covered townscapes. Additional highlights include a pair of fine landscapes by Henry Snell, a gorgeous country landscape by Arthur Meltzer and a classic Bucks County farmhouseby Fern Coppedge.
The exhibition will run through the summer. All of the paintings included in New Beginnings will be featured on our website prior to the beginning of the exhibition.
